“Slow Mornings In The Monsoon”
In June, Anjali’s day starts at the window with a cup of tea and the sound of rain.
The monsoon slows everything down in Thrissur. Plans move, roads flood, and the house fills with the smell of wet earth.
She has learned to dress for that pace: soft fabrics that dry quickly, colours that sit easily with grey skies, and nothing that asks to be fussed over.
“Rain teaches you what you actually need to get through a day.”
Her ZASH pieces are the ones she reaches for when she doesn’t want to think - the ones that go from the kitchen to the veranda to an unplanned visit without a second look.
She likes that they were made with the same patience she has learned from the season.

When the rain finally eases, the clothes stay. They are, she says, the most honest things in her wardrobe.
And every year, the trees planted with them get a little more of the monsoon they were made for.
