“What We Choose To Keep”
When Sara moved apartments last spring, she packed her whole wardrobe in two boxes.
It wasn’t always that way. The move forced a question she had been avoiding: which of these things would she actually miss?
The answer was a short list - pieces she wore every week, that still fit well, that still felt like her.
“Everything I kept, I kept because I would buy it again.”
Most of what stayed had been bought slowly. A few were ZASH pieces she had picked for exactly that reason: made well enough to last, simple enough never to date.
Everything else went to friends, to charity, or to recycling - and she hasn’t replaced any of it.

Sara says the new apartment feels bigger than it is. So does the wardrobe.
Keeping less, she found, was really about keeping better.
